Micro Penis Enlargement

Micro Penis Enlargement

Micro Penis, or a condition resulting in a smaller than average penis, is generally defined by an erect penile length of 3.5 inches or less. If your flaccid (of soft) penile length is short, this is NOT Micro Penis. When the flaccid state is short, this is the result of the muscle cells located in the penile (and scrotal) tissues contracting and pulling the penile shaft inwards. Many patients ask why this happens, and this flaccid muscle pull and ‘shrinkage’ is most likely protective, keeping the penile structure out of harm’s way when not in the erect use ‘mode’.

The images below, labeled 1a, 1b, and 2a demonstrate the Micro Penis condition. The erect state, not shown here, is less than 3.5 inches.

What are the causes of this Micro Penis condition? Micro Penis is most commonly caused by abnormal hormonal levels and fluctuations, or lack thereof, during puberty. During the developmental and growing years of puberty, from about 13 to 18 years of age, there are elevations or changes of testosterone levels. When testosterone elevates or has heightened peaks, changes occur in the developing male body. These developments include an increase in body and facial hair, a deepening voice, and enlargement of the genitalia. If testosterone elevations do not occur, the genitalia (penile shaft and glans size) will not develop and increase in size.

The pictorial below demonstrates the natural genitalia growth and progression from childhood to adulthood.

Can this condition be treated? Yes. If you are between the ages of 13-18, you can receive supplemental testosterone injections to help increase the penile size. However, there is only a certain window of time that the genitalia/penis will respond to treatment….and the earlier the better. For example, when you were a child, the Pediatrician should be examining your genital development.

If by age 15 or so, the genitalia are not growing or enlarging, then treatment would be needed to assist in the genitalia growth. Testosterone treatments, once commenced, will cause the genitalia and penis size to grow to the normal adult size. If this window of opportunity is missed, between the ages of 13-18, then this type of therapy will not work (in most cases).

The image below demonstrates one type of testosterone medication that is used for treatment of delayed genitalia development.

What do I do if I missed the window of opportunity for testosterone treatment….is there hope? Yes.

What is recommended is for you to use, very carefully, stretching devices (see Erect Penile Lengthening section & Products) to help stretch the penile shaft to at least the 4.5 to 5.5 inch (erect) length. These stretching devices and the protocols involved are lengthy, and may take many years to get results, but the important point is that it is possible to lengthen the penile shaft to a normal or closer to normal length.

Now, once you are lengthened, you can now have a Penile Girth Enlargement treatment to get the thickness to a normal range of 4.5 to 5 inches in circumference, or greater if one desires.

Most patients opt to start immediately with Penile Girth Enlargement treatment, even before starting their stretching protocol. The reason is that they want to start enjoying a larger penis right away, and there is nothing wrong with that. You can start your girth filler treatments immediately, then 90 days after the girth treatment, you can start or resume your penile stretching exercises.

The images below demonstrate the micro penis condition in the flaccid (or soft) state before treatment, labeled 1a and 1b. After treatment, you can clearly see the image, titled 1c, enlargement of the flaccid state.

Surgical Treatments

  • Penile flaccid lengthening can be achieved by several methods. As mentioned below, there are stretching devices that even though primarily used for erect length gains will also help with flaccid length gains as well. Suspensory ligament cutting, a surgical procedure, may cause a small flaccid lengthening. This surgical procedure, in Dr Loria’s opinion, caused more harm than good, resulting in no results in the majority of cases, and sometimes a shortening of the penile erect length.
  • The platinum method can increase not only the penile shaft girth but the flaccid length as well. Each minimally invasive filler treatment performed by the platinum method typically yields an increase by ½ to 1-inch of flaccid length. This increase is seen after each filler treatment. The platinum method may, in some cases, increase the erect length, however these gains were patient reported.
  • There is an experimental method that Dr Loria is currently working on to maximize flaccid length, and that is the flaccid insert technique. By placing a ‘pen-like’ medical grade implantable silicone rubber insert under the penile skin which will result in the penis staying long, not being able to contract, while flaccid, extending out almost as long as the erect penis. This technique may cause some penile erect lengthening as well, but this is still undetermined because the experimental trial is still ongoing.

The entire Penile Erect Lengthening segment of the Our Procedures section has been duplicated here for your review. It reviews some of the medical, and non-medical (stretching devices), and surgical treatments available for penis erect lengthening.
